Does Jarous charge a platform fee?
Jarous is free to all users to download.
How do I remove accidentally recorded activities?
Click on your jar from the homepage. This will take you to a list of your activities and will allow you to remove any accidental records by clicking the trash icon.
What is ‘Reflection Time’?
‘Reflection Time’ is a feature that we’ve included to allow you to reflect on the impact you’re your efforts made to the community and yourself. When you reflect your activities you’ve done, you can understand how you changing your habits can also change your community and environment for the better. ‘Reflection Time’ records are reflected in ‘Your Rhythm’ to show the correlation between your internal improvement and your philanthropy.
How does Jar Giving differ from a Lightning Gift?
• Jar giving is done by taking the amount present in the jar from the completion of your activities and distributing that to the event of your choice, with the max you can give capped by what is in the jar. Jar giving can only be conducted with events that you’ve added.
• Lighting Giving is done directly from your credit card and has no effect on the value in your jar. We include both forms of giving because we understand that some events are more time-sensitive in nature.
Does Jarous have an Android application?
As of right now, we are not available on Android devices. However, we are working on it, so keep your eyes peeled!
Do I have to tip?
Tipping is a way to let us know that we are doing a great job and that you support Jarous mission. Whatever you can afford to tip is much appreciated, and it goes towards improving user experience and the hard work that our Jarous employees deliver every day.
Where does my tip go to?
Your tip goes to support the maintenance of our platform and the building of new features.
How do Activities work? What do I put as Activities?
Activities are a meaningful and fun way for you to attach a monetary value to an activity you wish to accomplish or change. Activities aim to provide you with a way to incentivize yourself for improving your life with actions, small or big. You are in control of setting your goals in various categories. While you are accomplishing your goals, you will see the amazing amounts that you can accumulate and give to your cause.
What is a $2 “Good Faith Donation”?
Good Faith is to kick off the event that you have chosen. This is also a great way of showing your cause that you are going to be 100% committed to the goal of the event. What’s also great about it is that 100% of this $2 donation goes to that organization!
